Designed for those working in high-risk environments, the HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid course equips you with the skills to manage complex medical emergencies. From major trauma and sudden cardiac arrest to managing drug-affected individuals and large-scale incidents, this training goes beyond the basics to prepare you for real-world scenarios.
Delivered by NSTA Sydney™, this nationally recognised qualification combines online theory with face-to-face practical sessions, allowing you to build confidence while maintaining flexibility. Through practical simulations and written assessments, you’ll develop the skills required to coordinate emergency responses, support casualties until professional help arrives, and make effective decisions in challenging situations.
This course is ideal for safety officers, workplace first aiders, team leaders, or anyone in roles where immediate, advanced intervention is critical.

Requirements
- Basic computer skills and access to a reliable device with internet and email. This is necessary for completing the e-Learning component of the course.
- Ability to perform 2 minutes (5 cycles) of CPR on an adult manikin on the floor
- Enrolment is completed via phone, email or the NSTA Sydney website
- Delivered in blended format: e-Learning plus face-to-face training
- Choose between a 2-day practical or a 4-day face-to-face training option
- Assessment includes a written test and practical exercises, including CPR and scenario-based tasks
- A Statement of Attainment is awarded upon successful completion
- Continued engagement in professional development is encouraged for maintaining advanced skills
