Work Safely in the Construction Industry
The White Card course (CPCWHS1001) is the mandatory first step for anyone looking to work in construction in New South Wales. Also known as the general construction induction course, it provides the essential skills and knowledge required to work safely and legally on building and infrastructure sites.
Delivered by NSTA Sydney, this one-day course covers core topics including workplace health and safety (WHS), hazard identification, risk management, and safe work procedures. It is suitable for site managers, labourers, tradespeople, supervisors and anyone entering an active construction zone.
Participants who successfully complete the course will be issued a nationally recognised White Card, allowing them to begin or continue work in the construction industry. The White Card remains valid while the individual is actively working in the sector. If they stop working in construction for two consecutive years, the card becomes invalid and a new course must be completed.
If you live or work in Sydney, St Marys, Penrith, Mt Druitt, Blacktown or nearby areas, completing your White Card training with NSTA Sydney is a convenient and reliable way to meet industry entry requirements.
